Sewing Machinist - Upholstery

Location: Aberdare / Bridgend

Pay Rate: up-to £21.00 per hour OTE

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Hours:

• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (early finish 1:00pm Fridays)

We are currently recruiting Sewing Machinists on behalf of a well‑established manufacturer of high‑quality sofas and upholstered furniture. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced machinists or those with transferable sewing skills looking for long‑term, stable work with a company that invests in its people.

• Operating industrial sewing machines to produce upholstery components
• Sewing fabrics and materials to specification and quality standards
• Working from patterns and instructions
• Ensuring consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Working as part of a skilled production team to meet daily targets

• 1‑to‑1 training provided
• Ongoing support from a strong team of experienced sewing machinists
• Clear development pathway with the opportunity to become permanent

• Previous experience as a sewing machinist (industrial or domestic considered)
• Upholstery, furniture, automotive, or textile experience desirable
• Good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines in a production environment
• Reliable, hardworking, and team‑focused attitude
