Building Services Manager – Major Project

Our Client has secured a prestigious contract to deliver a state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility. The initial phase of this landmark project involves the design and construction of the new plant, associated ancillary buildings, and site-wide external works.

The Role:

Building Services Manager

As a key member of the project team—and reporting to the Project Building Services Manager—you will take ownership of commissioning management and handover for all MEP packages. You will ensure that systems are fully operational, compliant, and delivered to the highest standards from early construction stages through to commissioning and final client handover. Commissioning activities will be aligned with CIBSE Code M.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the commissioning programme, ensuring all systems are tested, validated, and signed off in accordance with contractual requirements and project timelines.

* Chair and participate in regular commissioning meetings, driving progress and proactively resolving issues.

* Review subcontractor commissioning plans, drawings, and technical submissions for compliance, practicality, and buildability.

* Coordinate ME&PH commissioning activities with other trades to ensure seamless integration and avoid delays.

* Ensure installations meet quality standards and comply with legislation, codes of practice, and industry guidelines (e.g., BREEAM, CIBSE, BSRIA).

Your Profile

* Proven experience in commissioning management on complex projects, including clean-room environments.

* Strong technical and design knowledge across MEP services and process engineering.

* Qualifications:

HNC or Degree in Building Services or a related discipline.

* Proficient in 3D modelling with an understanding of off-site manufacturing approaches.

* Competent in using 4

Projects or similar Common Data Environment platforms.
