We are seeking a senior vision systems engineer to join our dynamic team in the battery manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will design, develop, implement, and maintain vision systems for automated inspection, measurement, and quality control in battery production processes.

• Design and develop vision system solutions for battery manufacturing lines.
• Integrate camera, lighting, optics, and image processing workflows into automated production environments.
• Collaborate with process engineering, control and automation, and manufacturing systems teams to support large‑scale production line build‑ups.
• Implement and troubleshoot vision applications, ensuring reliable performance and continuous improvement.
• Utilize programming languages (Python, C++) and vision libraries (OpenCV, MATLAB, Halcon, etc.) to develop and maintain image‑processing algorithms.
• Work with smart‑manufacturing solutions, machine learning, IoT, and AI‑driven vision technologies to enhance inspection accuracy.

• Extensive knowledge of machine vision technologies, including camera systems, lighting, optics, and image‑processing tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and familiarity with machine‑learning libraries for vision system applications.
• Experience integrating vision systems into automated manufacturing environments, ideally in high‑precision industries such as battery production or electronics.
• Familiarity with smart manufacturing solutions, machine learning, IoT, and AI‑driven vision technologies is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing environments or automated inspection systems is strongly preferred.

The UK headquarters is in the Midlands, and we are building a battery manufacturing facility in Bridgwater, Somerset. The Process Engineering team works across electrode, cell assembly, formation, aging, testing, control, automation, manufacturing systems, digital manufacturing, process safety, and logistics engineering.
