Automation Engineer
Location:
Near Dunball / Wembdon / Bridgwater
We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer to join a global manufacturer of complex mechanical equipment, specialising in the design and manufacture of customisable materials for highly regulated industries. This is a key new position created to support a new production line and strengthen on-site automation capability across the site.
With major new projects underway and long-term growth planned, this role offers excellent visibility, technical influence, and progression opportunities.
Essential Requirements / Experience- Strong PLC programming and controls experience (Siemens TIA Portal & Allen Bradley essential)
- Background in automation, mechatronics, controls, or related engineering
- Ability to deliver automation or controls projects from concept to completion
- Experience with data monitoring / OEE systems
- Confident troubleshooting and supporting automated production equipment
- Proactive mindset and willingness to lead future automation improvements
- Up to £45,000 per annum
- Flexi working options
- Clear progression into senior technical or leadership roles
Highly visible role with exposure to senior management and global teams (notably Denmark)
