BGEN Ltd, Bridgwater, England – Commercial Manager

What will you be doing?

In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing a high‑value FIDIC contract package, ensuring smooth operation in line with project goals.

You’ll provide clear commercial oversight from cost control and forecasting to risk management and change control, while keeping NEC‑based contracts aligned across the project.

Building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, you’ll guide procurement, negotiation, and performance monitoring.

You’ll share insightful reports with senior stakeholders, support dispute resolution, and ensure governance follows BGEN and MGROUP protocols.

Alongside this, you’ll mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative team culture.

What you’ll bring
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field
  • Experience delivering major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Knowledge of FIDIC (Yellow/Silver Book) and NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Background in regulated or high‑security environments (nuclear/defence desirable)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Professional body membership (RICS, ICES, CIOB) valued
  • Commercial insight, negotiation expertise, and leadership ability
  • Skilled in risk, change management, and team development
  • Integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
