Job Description
** The Job Mission
** This is a
** site-based role
** focusing on the safe and compliant delivery of
** LV electrical systems
** on Hinkley Point
C. You’ll oversee installation quality, carry out inspections, and support testing and handover of critical LV distribution, lighting, and small power systems.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Support and supervise the installation of
** LV distribution and lighting systems**.
* Ensure correct implementation of
** earthing and bonding
** arrangements.
* Review and provide input to RAMS, permits to work, and temporary works plans.
* Carry out site inspections and record findings in daily logs.
* Support
** QA/QC assurance
** by reviewing installations against BS 7671 and project standards.
* Respond to technical queries and escalate issues where required.
* Liaise with HSE, Quality, Logistics, and Commissioning teams to coordinate activities.
** Essential
Skills and Qualifications
*** HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Experience with
** LV installation works
** on large infrastructure or industrial projects.
* ** BS 7671 (18th Edition)
** certified.
* Strong knowledge of electrical inspection, testing, and compliance.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
* Good communication skills to engage with contractors and stakeholders.
** Desired Skills
*** Experience in nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated environments.
* Familiarity with
** temporary electrical works
** and phased installation planning.
* SMSTS, IOSH or similar site safety training (advantageous but not essential).
* Awareness of QA/QC frameworks in complex infrastructure projects.
