Project Background

An exciting opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most significant clean technology projects. This site, formerly known as ROF 37, is being transformed into a leading hub for advanced manufacturing and green innovation.

This multi‑phase project represents approximately £4 billion in investment, aiming to deliver 40 GWh annual battery production capacity, supporting the UK’s automotive and energy sectors. Once operational, the plant is expected to create up to 4,000 high‑skilled local jobs, with substantial growth in the wider supply chain. Production is targeted to commence in the mid‑2020s, with the facility intended to supply a significant proportion of the UK’s battery cell demand by the early 2030s.
