About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Logistics Operative to join our Despatch team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring all finished goods are accurately picked, packed, processed and dispatched in line with customer requirements, internal procedures, and industry standards. This role is key to maintaining a smooth and efficient outbound logistics operation, ensuring documentation accuracy, timely collections, and adherence to safety and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate despatch documentation including packing slips, customs invoices, Certificates of Conformity and Authorised Release Certificates (Form 1s).
  • Ensure all documentation meets internal requirements and relevant aerospace standards.
  • Provide import/export clearance instructions and liaise effectively with freight forwarders and other stakeholders.
  • Carry out daily despatch activities and material movements in accordance with Work Instructions.
  • Record all logistics transactions using the ERP system / electronic data capture tools.
  • Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate stock records across logistics locations.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, company policies and procedures.
  • Identify, record and quarantine any non-conforming or expired product.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a logistics or warehouse environment, with strong understanding of stock, inventory, picking, packing and despatch processes.
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP stock control activities (receipts, moves, issues, despatch).
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and customs clearance processes.
  • High level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of manual handling, safe goods movement and general H&S systems.
  • Experience with in aerospace or defence sectors.
  • Authorisation to release Certificates of Conformity and controlled documentation (EASA/FAA/CAA).
  • Knowledge of export licensing controls and ITAR.
  • Awareness of AS/ISO quality systems.
  • Experience with Excel-based order books or work-to lists.
  • Cycle counting / perpetual inventory experience.
  • Forklift licence.
