Role Overview
As an Internal Sales & Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role within a busy Sales and Customer Service Department. You'll be responsible for processing customer orders, handling enquiries, and providing exceptional service to both new and existing customers. The role also involves telesales activities, account management, and identifying new business opportunities to help grow our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming telephone calls and customer enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Process customer orders accurately and promptly
- Monitor and follow up on expected deliveries to customers
- Provide detailed information on product availability and stock levels
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing customers
- Promote and sell the full product range via telephone and email
- Conduct outbound calls to existing and potential customers to generate new business leads
- Identify and research potential new customers for the external sales team using online tools
- Support the Sales Team with administrative duties as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong telephone manner with confident sales ability
- Customer-focused with the ability to adapt to different personalities and situations
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Office 365)
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritise workload, and manage time effectively
- Previous experience in telesales, customer service, or account management is desirable
- Good numeracy and literacy skills (English & Maths)
- Full training and support within a friendly, experienced team
