Electrical Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to deliver commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will be responsible for managing electrical packages, coordinating teams, controlling costs, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage electrical works on commercial projects including offices, retail, healthcare, and mixed-use developments

* Plan, schedule, and oversee project delivery from design review to handover

* Manage project budgets, forecasts, valuations, and cost control

* Coordinate with clients, main contractors, consultants, and subcontractors

* Review drawings, specifications, and technical submissions

* Manage RFIs, variations, and change orders

* Oversee procurement of materials and plant

* Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety

* Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, NEC/BS standards, and company procedures

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within commercial construction

* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and installations

* Experience managing budgets, programmes, and subcontractors

* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications

* Excellent communication and leadership skills

* Strong organisational and problem-solving ability

Desirable

* Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)

* SMSTS or SSSTS

* Experience working with Procore, MS Project, or similar systems

* Background with an electrical contractor
