Consultant Radiologist

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiology Consultant to join our forward-thinking and collaborative team based at Musgrove Park Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, well-equipped department delivering a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services.

• Deliver diagnostic imaging and interventional services as part of a team of over 25 radiologists, supporting acute and community services.
• Provide high‑quality patient care, including cross‑sectional imaging, MDT participation and out‑of‑hours cross‑sectional cover on a 1:12 rota.
• Contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Engage in audit and service development initiatives.
• Maintain a 10‑person acute patient (PA) job plan with a flexible working structure.
• Support education, research and clinical governance activities.

• Full GMC registration.
• FRCR qualification.
• Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to outstanding care.
• Sub‑specialty interest in Head & Neck or Chest preferred, but other interests will be considered.

• 6 MRI scanners.
• 4 CT scanners.
• Interventional radiology suites.
• Community Diagnostic Centre.
