Harris in Brighton are part of Release Systems and the Mission Avionics sector operating in the Aerospace domain. Our mission‑critical release systems equipment is on most major airborne fighter platforms worldwide, including the F‑35, along with other aircraft like the Gripen and Typhoon. Brighton designs, manufactures and tests a large portion of its release systems portfolio. This facility offers 48,500 square feet of manufacturing space for the development of high‑performance, multi‑station solutions used to launch air‑to‑air and air‑to‑ground munitions from bay, wing or fuselage stations.

• Prepares bid packages, analyses and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, executes contracts and documents the contracting file.
• Conducts the contracting process in adherence with UK Regulations, Public Law, Company and Supply Chain Policies and Procedures.
• Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions or modifications to subcontracts.
• Manages Supplier’s technical, delivery and financial performance against Plan.
• Serves as single point of contact to the subcontractor/supplier while fostering collaboration between the subcontractor/supplier and the L3
  
  Harris team, including Program Management, Engineering, Project Engineering and Quality.
• Reviews status of subcontractor’s/supplier’s performance, including delivery and financial performance.
• Assesses risk, develops risk mitigation plans, formulates resolution plans.
• Negotiates and generates Supplier Framework Agreements to support long‑term company objectives.
• Liaises with the Suppliers and Quality Manager regarding supplier quality deficiencies in a timely and proactive manner.
• Represents Supply Chain in meetings with customers and other external bodies as and when required.

• Previous experience as a Subcontract Manager working within a similar industry to defence or aerospace.
• Experience in Negotiations, Terms & Conditions.
