SECURITY CLEARANCE:
You will be subject to BPSS and Export Control checks (including a criminal record check), As the critical link between global suppliers and Airbus production sites, our team ensures the seamless delivery of essential systems like landing gears and fuel equipment. Based in Bristol, you will lead a high-impact group of Supply Officers, directly influencing the manufacturing schedules of the world's leading aircraft.
- Act as the primary point of escalation for both internal customers and suppliers to resolve critical delivery issues.
- Summarize and present operational status and critical escalations to PIEO management.
- Validate team working hours and vacation schedules under delegated authority from the Head of Department.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline supply management activities.
- Prepare specific operational instructions and drumbeat group routines to ensure progress and effectiveness.
- Support the transformation of team processes to enhance agility and operational resilience.
- Display active leadership and coaching behaviors to mentor Supply Officers and contribute to employee training.
- Assist the Head of Department in resource deployment, workload balancing, and the recruitment of new team members.
- Approve manual orders and price changes for repair Purchase Orders (UK only).
- A relevant degree in Supply Chain or Quality, or equivalent professional experience.
- Solid experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing Engineering, or General Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
- Strong proficiency in digital tools and data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
- Ability to work with complex data sets to assist in performance status reporting and trend analysis.
- Eagerness to adopt new digital tools and support the implementation of automated processes.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and facilitate communication across all levels of a global business.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate fast-changing environments autonomously.
- Fluency in English for negotiations and the flexibility to manage suppliers across different time zones (specifically the Americas).
