• £37.38 per hour (PAYE)
• Up to £52.00 per hour (Umbrella) for Authoriser level

35 hours per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am–7pm, as agreed with the business)

Carbon
60 are seeking two experienced Wing Design Engineers to join our client's leading aerospace programme. You will play a key role in ensuring the structural design of aircraft wings meets airworthiness and product requirements, delivering technical solutions, and leading design improvements.

• Ensure structural design compliance with airworthiness and product requirements.
• Deliver technical studies, trade-offs, and investigations using established design methods.
• Manage and deliver change through modification processes, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.
• Provide design leadership to internal and external teams, driving Lean Engineering improvements.
• Organise and govern design and maturity reviews in line with industry policies and best practices.
• Delegation signatory for wing structure design (Design Approval/Authorisation required).
• Proven experience in wing structure design within the aerospace sector.
• Strong track record of delivering to time, cost, and quality targets.
• Proficiency with design toolsets such as CATIA V5, ICC, Zamiz, ECM, Solings, and PASS.
• Experience working within a complex stakeholder network, influencing technical and business outcomes.
