As a Systems Thinking Business Analyst you will work across a broad portfolio of projects in defence, transport, energy, public services, and other sectors, delivering practical solutions that align strategy, delivery and technology.

• Work with clients to define and steer business analysis work streams across programmes and projects.
• Ensure processes are defined, requirements captured, and managed effectively.
• Help clients build compelling cases for change and manage transformation in a controlled manner.
• Support programme and project implementation and unlock better decision‑making that aligns strategy with delivery.
• Analyse and maximise the complex, connected systems within which clients operate.
• Develop personal knowledge and skills through training and peer‑learning.

• Minimum two years experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Engineer, or Systems Thinker.
• Experience in Defence and Security, Transport, Energy & Utilities, or Public Services.
• Proven ability to translate stakeholder needs into clear functional/non‑functional requirements and traceability.
• Facilitation skills: workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent stakeholder, relationship, and communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking in ambiguous environments.
• Competence in industry‑recognised data handling, analysis, and requirements tools.
• Desire to support PA’s internal capabilities and develop PA’s Business Analysis expertise.

• Gap analysis and strategy design aligned with systems thinking principles.
• Balanced trade‑offs between technical detail and business objectives.
• Test‑support experience and development of testing activities.
• BCS or other Business Analysis certification.
• Coaching experience to adopt Business Analysis frameworks.
• Data‑driven decision making with evidence‑based insights and scenario modelling.
• Large‑scale programme and procurement business analysis framework definition.
