A BAM apprenticeship is a full‑time earn‑and‑learn position, where you will be involved in delivering multi‑million‑pound projects, leaving a lasting legacy and positive change in our communities.
ApprenticeshipStructure
- Years 1–2:
Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship (Higher National Certificate, HNC) - Continue working towards professional recognition with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
- Years 3–5:
Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship – gain a full honours degree and progress to chartered membership of the CIOB - Delivered by Leeds College of Building on a block‑release basis with accommodation provided
- Technical Development – gain hands‑on experience and put learning into practice
- Problem Solving – learn how to overcome challenges on live projects
- Drive quality – effective planning and right first‑time delivery
- On‑site experience – work closely with our skilled workforce on real construction projects
- Apply learning – liaison with clients and manage subcontractors
- Manage quality, supply of materials and labour, ensuring safe and on‑time delivery
- Adhere to health & safety and environmental standards; monitor delivery against programme
- GCSE grade 5 (B) or above in Maths
- GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in English Language
- At least 3 additional GCSEs grade 4 or above
- Either 2 x STEM A‑Levels (or equivalents) in finance, economics, business
- Or relevant Level 3 qualifications (e.g. Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying)
- T Level Design, Planning & Surveying for Construction
- Disciplined, able to manage degree‑level study and a busy job role
- Passionate about learning and growing within the industry
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
- Adaptable when priorities change
- Willing to work on site and travel as required
- Punctual, reliable, committed to delivering high‑quality work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel to site and work away from home when necessary
- Full UK driving licence (for remote site work)

Successful candidates will be invited to a virtual interview via Microsoft Teams in February, followed by an in‑person half‑day assessment centre in March.
