Role ResponsibilitiesWe have an exciting opportunity for a qualified architect with project lead experience to join our busy studio in Bristol and develop their career in a well‑structured, supportive environment. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and ambitious individual who enjoys working as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential.
As a Project Lead Architect you will lead internal project teams and effectively communicate and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Manage planning applications and other regulatory application procedures
- Oversee the project briefs and work on these as the project progresses, reporting to clients and presenting progress clearly
- Prepare and present design proposals using computer‑aided design (CAD), Revit, Sketch Up, as well as traditional drawing methods
- Lead the detailed technical process and coordinate design information using 3D models and specifications
- Proven post‑qualification experience as a project lead
- Experience working on large‑scale, complex projects
- Technical proficiency, with experience developing detailed design through to construction information, including a thorough understanding of legal and regulatory requirements
- Commitment to developing high‑quality design information with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent working knowledge of Revit and Adobe packages, including InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch Up, etc.
- Ability to present and communicate technical specifications
- Ability to liaise with other consultants and construction professionals, to create technical solutions and resolve client and contractor queries
- Detailed working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and British and industry standards
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit with experience using it on large‑scale projects
- A technically minded and enthusiastic individual who works well as part of a team and thrives in a diverse and exciting studio environment
- Strong interest in, and knowledge of, sustainable design
- Ability to work across multiple projects and effectively manage time
- Ambition to take on responsibility and rapidly grow within the team and practice
- Team player with strong communication and leadership skills
- Influential and takes a leadership approach to tasks and duties
