We are seeking an experienced Urban Designer to join our Design team in our Bristol Office. We welcome applications from Masterplanners, Layout Designers, Architects, and Urban Designers, selecting the most suitable candidate for our array of complex projects across the UK.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a proficient team of designers and architects, engaging in urban design and planning activities, feasibility studies, layout development, formulation of development briefs, and design strategies for residential, mixed‑use schemes, and beyond.

What Are We Looking For
  • Hold a relevant Undergraduate Degree, Masters or Diploma in Urban Design / Architecture / Built Environment
  • Work experience in private practice / consultancy or a commercial house building operation.
  • Experience of detailed design/RMA
  • Outline application experience is welcomed but not essential
  • A working knowledge of the planning system with an ability to interpret and adapt to specific local authority design guidance.
  • Knowledge of CAD software packages. Experience in Vectorworks and/or Sketchup would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Work independently with other consultants.
  • Confident liaising with clients, building relationships and understanding client requirements.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to mentor and manage junior members of staff and report to Associates/Directors
  • Excellent interpersonal and interdisciplinary skills.
  • Self‑motivated with an excellent eye for detail.
