We run a tertiary level regional service for autoimmune CTD, vasculitis and interstitial lung disease, and rare bone diseases. We are part of the Adult Rare Bone Disease Rare Disease Collaborative Network (RDCN). In addition, we have a successful and highly productive academic Rheumatology team linked with the University of Bristol.
You will join a department of 11 Consultants (including a Rheumatology Consultant Pharmacist), 2 Speciality Trainees, 2 MRC funded Academic Fellows, 5 Specialist Nurses, 3 additional Specialist Pharmacists, 3 Clinical Psychologists and dedicated therapies team.
Main duties of the jobThis is a pure Rheumatology post with no GIM commitment. The post holder would be required to deliver a clinical service including clinics at base hospital Southmead and satellite hospital Cossham.
NBT provides tertiary-level clinical care across a number of specialties including nephrology, vascular surgery, neurology and respiratory (pleural and ILD), providing opportunities to participate in the management of patients with complex multi-system CTD and vasculitis. Our CTD service has particular sub‑speciality interest in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies and systemic sclerosis.
Applicants with some experience in Rheumatology are encouraged but this is not essential. Full current professional registration with the GMC is essential. Experience and familiarity within UK hospital systems and practices or equivalent is desirable but non‑UK trained doctors are encouraged to apply. The post will close before the intended closing date should a sufficient number of suitable applications be received.
Therefore, if you are interested in applying, we suggest you do so at the earliest opportunity.
Our vision at NBT is that by enabling our teams to be the best they can be we will provide exceptional healthcare, personally delivered. Our values represent the way we do things and what we stand for. By embedding these shared values in everything we do, we aim to create positive experiences for patients and staff. Our Trust is a great choice for people who want to develop their career in an environment that delivers high quality care.
