An exciting opportunity for a full‑time substantive Consultant post in the Haematology Department within Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. The Adult Haematology department has 19 consultants working between Bristol and Weston Hospitals based at the Bristol Haematology & Oncology Centre (BHOC).
The Bristol Haematology Unit offers tertiary level services for stem cell transplants, CAR T‑cell therapy, Haemostasis and Haemophilia, haemato‑oncology, and haemoglobinopathy, and is involved in over 100 clinical trials.
Responsibilities- Work at the Bristol site as a full‑time (10 PA) substantive Consultant.
- Attend Haematology Ward on a 1 in 8 basis and Haematology Laboratory on a 1 in 5 basis.
- Conduct up to three clinics per week when not ward‑attending.
- Provide a 1 in 8 out‑of‑hours on‑call rota (separate rota for haemostasis).
- Contribute to an e‑mail advice and guidance service for GPs across UHBW.
Post suited to candidates who already have or wish to develop a specialist interest in Myeloma.
