Overview

Non-Contentious Construction Senior Associate or Managing Associate – Bristol, London or Leeds. We are looking for motivated Construction lawyers to join our busy team, with its strong gearing towards clean energy & renewables. Candidates should have at least 5 years of construction/commercial and/or projects experience, with experience in renewables or with a strong interest in transitioning into clean energy work streams. This role will involve working directly with Bristol-based Energy Construction Partner Suriya Edwards, Leeds-based Clean Energy Partner Deborah Harvey and London-based National Head of Clean Energy, Clare King.

The trio speak to different aspects of the clean energy market, which makes them a robust team, unique in the respect of the collaborative space that they have established to drive forward growth in this space.

Responsibilities
  • Lead or support on transactions which will include drafting documents (bespoke, FIDIC/MF/1 forms) and negotiating relevant forms.
  • Work on a wide spectrum of clean energy projects and related commercial matters.
  • Collaborate with a wider sector team of approximately 90 lawyers across 13 offices including real estate, corporate, finance, environment, planning and dispute resolution.
  • Be part of a team that works with clients such as world-renowned battery manufacturers/integrators on complex transactions that span the UK and Europe.
  • Value a collaborative and learning-oriented environment; participate in ongoing development within the clean energy practice.
  • Familiarity with technologies including BESS, solar PV, wind, hydro, energy-from-waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure and/or district heating would be an advantage.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of construction/commercial and/or projects experience, with experience in renewables or a strong interest in transitioning into clean energy work streams.
  • Ability to work directly with senior partners and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
