Structural Engineer

A structural engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced structural engineer to join their newest regional office within walking distance of central Bristol.  

This business has done an excellent job recruiting local talent and now requires a structural engineer with building structures experience to join the design team and pursue their own personal development.

The general remit for this role is flexible depending on experience but in essence it will involve supporting the design team, assisting in the delivery of a variety of building structures.

Responsibilities include:

Engaging with clients, architects and contractors
Supporting the design team on technical queries
Undertaking structural design and analysis
Attending client meetings
Hands on design and project delivery
Monitoring projects from inception through to completion
We are looking for someone with natural aptitude and a passion for problem solving, good communication skills and an eye for detail are key.

Projects are focused on a diverse mix of interesting and challenging bespoke building structures, typically ranging up to £30m in value. This is business is proud to hold a place on frameworks for recognisable organisations which directly contribute to developments across the Southwest.

Recent and current sectors include:

Education
Defence
Heritage
Marine
Candidates with an interest in the heritage sector would be of particular interest, however this is not essential. Ideally, we are looking for an engineer who is focused on their own personal development and actively working toward chartered status.

£34,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
