We’re working with a forward-thinking consultancy who are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to strengthen their Bristol team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to step up into a more senior role, taking on greater responsibility for design delivery, mentoring, and client liaison.

The role:

Leading the preparation of highway and drainage designs for S104, S38 and S278 applications

Producing and checking technical outputs including drawings, reports and calculations

Delivering drainage strategies, SuDS design and Flood Risk Assessments

Supporting and mentoring junior engineers, reviewing work and providing guidance

Managing projects with moderate supervision, ensuring quality and timely delivery

Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders

Staying up to date with industry trends, standards and best practice

What we’re looking for:

Around 5+ years’ UK consultancy experience in highways/drainage design

Proficient in Civil 3D, Causeway Flow / Micro Drainage, AutoCAD

Experience with approvals processes (S104, S106, S38, S278)

Strong project management and client-facing skills

Progressing towards, or already holding, Chartered status (ICE/CIHT)

Collaborative, proactive and motivated to grow with the business
