Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re looking for a talented Structural Engineer to join their growing Bristol team, contributing to innovative, sustainable, and beautifully crafted structures.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a close-knit and design-led practice that values engineering ingenuity and teamwork. You’ll join an experienced group of structural engineers and technicians, working directly with architects, clients and contractors on a variety of projects across the South West and beyond. With support from senior colleagues, you’ll have the freedom to take ownership of your own projects – seeing them through from concept to completion – and play a key role in shaping the future of our Bristol office as it continues to expand.
We’re looking for a Structural Engineer with around four to five years’ experience, confident in working with the four main structural materials and comfortable taking a proactive role in design meetings and project delivery. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, the ability to communicate ideas clearly, and a genuine enthusiasm for well-considered structural design.
What’s On Offer
The chance to work on a diverse and creative range of projects – from bespoke homes to landmark developments.
A collaborative studio environment where your ideas are valued and your career can grow.
Mentorship and support toward Chartered Engineer status (IStruct
E or ICE).
Regular team events, CPD sessions, and opportunities to visit live project sites.
A modern Bristol workspace within easy reach of the city centre, with flexible working options.
What You Need To Succeed
At least four to five years’ structural design experience within a UK design consultancy.
Proficiency in designing with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
Experience liaising with architects, clients, and contractors in a professional, confident manner.
Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver designs from concept through to construction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and creativity.
Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g. Tekla, Tedds, Master Series, or similar).
Desire to contribute to a supportive and collaborative team culture.
A passion for structural engineering and an interest in sustainable, elegant design.
Chartered with IStruct
E or ICE (preferred but not essential).
MEng or BEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
