Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit a Senior Transport Planner for their growing Bristol office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated transport professional to contribute to a diverse project portfolio while advancing their career within a respected and collaborative planning team.

The Opportunity
Joining a well-established and supportive transport planning team, the successful candidate will deliver a variety of projects across the residential, commercial, education, energy, and infrastructure sectors. The role offers the chance to work closely with planners, engineers, and environmental consultants to help shape transport and development strategies across the region and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and technical notes

• Analyse traffic and transport data to support planning submissions

• Use modelling tools such as Junctions 9/10, LINSIG and TRICS

• Engage with local authorities and stakeholders

• Assist with project management and mentoring junior staff

• Contribute to business development through proposals and client engagement

What You'll Need

• A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field

• Relevant years' experience in a transport planning role

• Proficiency in key software such as AutoCAD, Arcady, Picady, LINSIG, or VISSIM

• Strong report writing, data analysis, and presentation skills

• Good understanding of planning policy and development processes

• Excellent communication and time management skills
