Mechanical PM Engineer – Etex, Bristol, United Kingdom

Join Etex, a global leader in building materials, as a Preventative Maintenance Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will support the reliability and safety of our production equipment, working closely with production, quality, operations teams and external contractors.

• Ensure preventative maintenance (PM) tasks are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
• Play a key role in regular shutdowns, coordinating with the Maintenance Team Engineer and Maintenance Operations Manager.
• Investigate condition‑based monitoring (CBM) and on‑the‑run (OTR) findings, collaborating with the Senior Mechanical Engineer to plan and optimise shutdown activities.
• Take responsibility for the upkeep, performance, and general reliability of equipment.
• Ensure reliability strategies, preventative maintenance plans, and agreed engineering strategies are effectively implemented and maintained.

• Working experience in a preventative maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) certification.
• Knowledge of AM/PM 7 Steps.
• Condition‑Based Monitoring qualification/training.
• HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or membership of a relevant professional institute.
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
• Degree‑level qualification preferred (engineering, electrical, or a combination of mechanical and electrical). NVQ Level 3 or equivalent also accepted.
