Senior Simulation Engineer

Rosenxt is revolutionizing subsea robotics and autonomous systems, and we're building a world-class engineering team at our Bristol location to drive this innovation forward. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Simulation Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will lead the development of state-of-the-art digital twins and robotic simulations that drive the clean energy transition.

As a key team member, you will design, develop, and optimize products and tools for internal customers, supporting data analysis and autonomous robotics deployment in the offshore wind industry. You will also be helping grow the Simulation Team to build our capabilities to support the business.

You will work closely with the product team, cross-functional engineering teams, and various stakeholders throughout the entire product lifecycle. Your responsibilities will encompass high-level software development, architectural design, and adherence to rigorous quality standards using Modern C++ and Unreal Engine. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Robotics, Software Engineering, and Machine Learning to translate novel ideas into tangible products. As a senior engineer, you will also mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Robotics, Software Engineering, and Machine Learning to translate novel ideas into tangible products.

Work closely with the product team to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.

Essential skills that you bring:
Proficiency in Unreal Engine, including Blueprints.

Proficiency in C++ (17 onwards) and Python.

Experience optimizing simulation performance for scalability and efficiency.

Proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior engineers, and maintain high standards of code quality.

Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.

Desirable skills that you have:
Experience in simulating sensors, actuators, and physics.

Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

Experience creating internal Unreal Editor tooling.
