Job Description
Airbus is seeking an EN4179 Level 2 Qualified NDT Inspector to join our Testia Limited team in Filton, Bristol. The role is full‑time, permanent, and requires a 37.5‑hour week.
Responsibilities- Perform, interpret, and report inspections (Ultrasonic, Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Dye Penetrant) on manufactured or in‑service components.
- Document test results in writing in accordance with associated procedures.
- Maintain NDT personnel records to evidence experience for qualification renewal.
- Acquire new qualifications as required for business and customer needs (training provided).
- Perform additional duties as required in accordance with the role specification.
- EN4179 Level 2 (or
3) certification in one or more of the following methods:
UT (Phased Array desirable),
PT
, ET (Array desirable),
RT (Film & Non‑Film),
MT
. - Documented experience hours for all NDT methods held.
- Documented Aerospace / Aircraft work experience hours.
- Experience in in‑service / manufacturing inspection.
- Experience inspecting metallic and composite components.
- Capable of working independently, using initiative to resolve problems.
- Team player with resilience and flexibility to meet role and customer demands.
- Driving licence class B.
- Availability to travel on reasonable notice and to work overnight at customer sites.
- Ability to attain UK SC (Security Check) clearance.
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
- Flexible working hours (flexi‑time).
