What You’ll Be DoingGraduate role in GKN Aerospace Quality – a two‑year programme designed to rotate you across key quality disciplines and develop the technical and leadership skills you need for a future senior leader.
As part of the programme you will:- Rotate across quality disciplines to build understanding of how quality contributes to business success – quality systems, compliance, assurance, engineering, product safety and leadership.
- Develop leadership skills and learn the fundamentals of how a leading aerospace business works.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on global projects to ensure business effectiveness founded on compliance to internal and external requirements.
- Undertake quality specific training such as AS9100 Quality Lead Auditor and regulatory production organisation approval awareness. Start your journey to professional accreditation through the CQI (Chartered Quality Institute).
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean and Root Cause Analysis and GKN's Brilliant Basics.
- Participate in internal and external audits contributing to corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyse data and metrics to identify trends and drive quality improvements.
- Engage with senior leaders and mentors through structured development programmes and networking events.
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
- Extended placements at our UK manufacturing sites with scope for international exposure through project activity.
- Enthusiasm, creativity and passion – a critical and analytical thinker with the drive to grow into a future leader and technical expert.
- A 2:1 or higher degree achieved within the last two years in a relevant quality engineering or scientific discipline (e.g. materials science, physics, medical or related fields).
- A genuine interest in aerospace and excitement about the role it plays in shaping the future of our world.
- A 24‑month programme with a guaranteed permanent role at completion.
