Overview
We are currently seeking a Configuration Engineer (Product Change Leader) to support one of our major aerospace clients. This position involves leading and coordinating the management of Change Requests throughout the entire change process from initiation through to aircraft implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of Change Requests across the full lifecycle of the change process.
- Coordinate and align multi-disciplinary teams (Engineering Manufacturing Supply Chain etc.) to deliver high-quality inputs on time.
- Prepare and present change documentation for internal and external decision boards.
- Define and document the industrial strategy for each change ensuring alignment with configuration tools and industrial dossiers.
- Collaborate closely with Final Assembly Line pre-FAL suppliers and equipment providers to ensure smooth industrial integration.
- Support Configuration Management Industrial Integration (CMII) processes and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing or related Engineering discipline (essential).
- Strong project coordination and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Good understanding of the change process within aerospace or complex engineering environments.
- Knowledge of aircraft product structure particularly wing assemblies.
- Awareness of UK aerospace industrial processes.
- Configuration Management Industrial Integration (CMII) knowledge desirable.

This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website.
