Our Security and Parking team are seeking proactive team players with experience dealing with members of the public. Transferrable skills from hospitality backgrounds will be considered alongside current security experience or police or military background. You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, write reports and enforce site traffic policy. IT literacy and digital competence will be required. Your ability to quickly connect and build rapport will help ensure staff, patients and visitors enjoy a safe environment.

• Respond to incidents on Trust property, including investigations into suspicious behaviours or criminal activities such as theft and anti‑social behaviour.
• Provide a security presence to support clinical staff; attend clinical incidents to provide support and assistance.
• Protect Trust property from malicious damage and theft, promoting a safe environment.
• Accurately record every incident, gathering all relevant information and completing detailed reports.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, listening and empathising.
• Maintain an effective security presence in the Emergency Department on a rotational basis, ensuring the service is not impacted.
• Assist with fire alarm evacuations.
• Uphold and enforce the Trust Parking policy.
• Support clinical staff with the detention of patients under the Mental Health Act 2007 and Mental Capacity Act 2005, where appropriate.

• Demonstrate previous experience in a security role.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence.
• Have the physical and mental capability to meet the demands of the role.
• GCSE or higher for English Language (spoken and written).
• Desirable: SIA licence, minimum 2 years security experience, police or military experience, working for a large organisation.

• Honest, trustworthy and credible.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to stay calm and confident in potential confrontations.
