The Fixed Asset Accountant role works within the UK Financial Accounting team which is responsible for the integrity of the Financial Balance Sheet of Airbus Operations Ltd submitted for both Airbus Group reporting and statutory reporting. This unique position enables the individual to gain an insightful top‑level view of the financials for the UK Commercial division and to understand the business drivers that sit behind the numbers.

The Financial Accounting UK team has a strong team ethic and work well together to support shared understanding and help each other to deliver as one team. The ability to flex to the team’s ever‑changing requirements means there is scope to be involved in a wide range of topics affecting the business to suit individuals interests and development needs. This role is ideal for someone looking to strengthen their technical financial accounting skillset via various challenging topics whilst contributing to the corporate accounting submissions and business processes impacting the company’s financials.

• Fixed Asset lifecycle management – Responsible for the management of the fixed asset accounting postings for both tangible and intangible assets from Assets Under Construction Entry into service capitalisation and depreciation to retirement.
• Closing activity – Key contributor for the on‑time, on‑quality monthly delivery of the Fixed Asset elements of the Airbus Operations Ltd corporate financial statements submission. Includes fixed asset postings, balance sheet reconciliations and trend analysis to ensure a good understanding of cost drivers in the areas responsible for. Build relations with the Consolidation…
