** Finance Business Partner – Children's and Schools – Interim Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with a Local Authority to appoint an Interim Finance Business Partner to lead financial support across Children's and Schools services.
This is a part-time assignment providing additional support while the current business partner is seconded onto a project.
What's on Offer Rate: £511 – £650 per day Contract length: 3-6 Months (ongoing)
Hours:
24 hours per week across three days – Flexibility over which three days are worked
Hybrid working

The Role The successful candidate will lead the Children's and Schools finance team, overseeing financial management and providing high-quality advice to senior service managers.### Key responsibilities
* Leading and managing the Children's and Schools finance team.
* Overseeing budget monitoring, forecasting and financial reporting.
* Leading budget setting and supporting financial planning.
* Coordinating year-end tasks and the closure of accounts.
* Providing financial advice and challenge to senior management.
* Working with budget holders to identify financial pressures and manage risks.### About You
You will have:
A full CCAB or CIMA accountancy qualification, including CIPFA – essential.
Significant local authority experience in children's and schools finance – essential.
Proven experience leading finance teams and delivering budget monitoring, budget setting and year-end processes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to advise senior stakeholders.###
