Salary: £90,440 - £106,400
Location: Bristol
Hours: Full-time
Working Pattern: Hybrid – at least two days per week at Bristol office.

About this opportunityThis vacancy sits within our Commercial Banking division, within the Client Servicing & Engagement (CSE) platform. Our purpose is to create and deliver products that enable clients to grow their businesses, supporting millions of UK customers.
What you'll do- Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineering Leads to understand requirements, design solutions and implement them in Pega technology.
- Provide alternative designs and recommend the most suitable solutions.
- Own application technical aspects involving change management and run‑risk management.
- Meet organisational standards for solution building.
- Work with Enterprise architects and the Pega Centre of Excellence teams.
- Identify and eliminate technical debt.
- Provide line management and set development goals for your team.
- Build proof of value to foster innovation.
- Collaborate closely with the Centre of Excellence team to identify skill gaps and training plans for team members.
- Network and collaborate with other teams in the business unit to support integration.
- Ability to design and develop microjourneys using case management.
- Deep knowledge in data model design.
- Experience building REST/SOAP based integrations as a service and as a connector.
- In‑depth knowledge of security aspects: authentication, authorization, JSON Web Tokens, certificates and public‑key cryptography.
- Knowledge of Pega GenAI and Constellation (working knowledge preferred).
- Knowledge of streaming solutions like Apache Kafka.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as PAL, PDC, DB Trace, Dynatrace, Splunk.
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence and related Dev Ops tools and techniques.
- Awareness of Constellation and DX APIs.
- Awareness of Open Banking architecture.
