Reporting And Analytics Engineer

ARAG UK, a leading insurance and legal services provider, offers a dynamic opportunity for a Reporting and Analytics Engineer to join the Information Management Team in a modern Bristol office.

In collaboration with the Data Engineering team and business stakeholders, you will design, build and maintain end‑user visualisations, reports and ad‑hoc analyses, promoting transparent communication and ensuring best practices are adhered to.

• Design and build paginated reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
• Build and enhance datasets for report consumption using TSQL.
• Work with the data warehouse team to improve coverage and create KPIs.
• Resolve queries and issues related to BI tools, services and data.
• Ensure BI processes, including data refreshes and report generation, run smoothly.
• Investigate and resolve scheduled job failures or errors, escalating where necessary.

• Experience across the Microsoft technology stack, ideally with Azure.
• Proficient in visualising information with appropriate chart types.
• Experience developing reports using a Data Warehouse with solid understanding of Kimball methodologies.
• Advanced DAX skills preferred.
• Strong TSQL skills for building and enhancing datasets.
• Good problem‑solving, planning and "can‑do" attitude.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Creative, lateral thinker with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
