We are seeking a confident and ambitious Paralegal to join our highly regarded Employment department in Bristol on a full‑time, permanent basis. Our team, previously named Employment Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards and consistently ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, provides pragmatic, rigorous and commercially focused advice to clients across the public and private sectors. We handle a full range of employment law and HR issues, from investigations and sensitive employee disputes to restrictive covenants and employment tribunal representation, supporting HR teams across various businesses.
Whatyou’ll do
In this role you will provide essential support to fee earners, ensuring all clients receive an outstanding service that meets their needs cost‑effectively.
Responsibilities include:
complete management of files; taking instructions from senior team members and transferring those instructions to appropriate parties; ensuring procedures are handled efficiently; and taking on responsibility for department administration. The position offers a solid foundation for those who wish to become qualified lawyers, a path many of our Paralegals have already taken.
As a law graduate, ideally with previous legal experience in employment or litigation, you are enthusiastic about continuing your career in law. You are self‑motivated, a good communicator, and keen to work proactively with colleagues. You excel at building strong client relationships, managing multiple caseloads under pressure, and are a quick learner with excellent IT skills. You are meticulous and thorough, delivering high‑quality work.
