Belcan seeks a Business & Project Management Partner to support a leading global aviation client. The role is on a maternity contract, initially until October 2026, with a high possibility of extension. You will work alongside an engineering community and deliver operational management solutions for project & performance management, resource management and people development in the Landing Gear engineering domain (1YL) throughout Commercial Programmes, as part of the Systems Centre of Competence (1Y).
Responsibilities- Assure business and project management processes are followed within the engineering functional team.
- Support the engineering functional team to maintain a credible annual and multi‑year workload, resource management and financial plan that aligns with internal and external customer requirements; monitor and control any deviation to the plan.
- Assure that internal resourcing and external engineering resource supplier activities are launched in line with the plan and managed in full compliance with policies and processes.
- Promote anticipation to identify and act on potential risks, opportunities and workload evolution.
- Proactively manage the collation and reporting of key performance indicators to ensure that 1YL business management data is readily available for effective performance management.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to the engineering community on business and project management.
- Deputise for engineering functional leaders in governance reviews on financial, resourcing and performance topics.
- Onboard and mentor new members of the Business & Project Management support team.
- Support the implementation of Business / Project Management best practices and new ways of working, enabling a culture of continuous improvement and harmonisation across our engineering teams.
- Experience in Business Management and/or Project Management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Customer focused and able to engage, inspire and manage multiple stakeholders with enthusiasm and energy.
- Good analytical skills and knowledge of digital tools.
- Agile and flexible in approach, able to work autonomously.
- Curious and innovative with a willingness to challenge the norm and learn continuously.
