About the Role

To manage the Bristol office premises and deliver centralised facilities services, while providing support to other sites within the UK South region. The role is pivotal in maintaining core business functions, ensuring compliance, driving service excellence and colleague experience across all locations.

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Manage facilities operations and oversee building maintenance, repairs, and services for the Bristol site and the UK South region, ensuring all facilities run efficiently and safely. Travel schedules must be reviewed and approved by the Senior Facilities Manager – UK South region.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and company standards; conduct regular audits to maintain a safe and effective workplace.
  • Manage vendor contracts, procurement, and service level agreements, ensuring best value and quality.
  • Monitor budgets, control costs, and assist with compiling CAPEX budgets for facilities projects.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, recycling, and environmental compliance.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders, external contractors, landlords, and professional agents to resolve issues promptly.
  • Participate in group property projects, ensure a consistent approach to process is implemented to the sites within your remit, and contribute to the development of service excellence models.
  • Maintain accurate records of assets, fixtures, and fittings; conduct regular audits and report findings.
  • Promote a customer‑focused culture, continuously seeking ways to improve stakeholder and client experience and relationships.
  • Act as a “Champion for the Property & Facilities department,” promoting its values, initiatives, and best practices across the business. Advocate for continuous improvement, service excellence, and collaboration within the team and with other departments, and support the wider team in this approach.
  • Act as a member of the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) team, supporting the development, implementation, and execution of continuity strategies to ensure essential services are maintained during incidents or disruptions.
  • Support the creation and updating of reports on UK South offices, ensuring accurate and timely information is available for decision‑making and management review.
  • Undertake any other duties as instructed by the Senior Facilities Manager (UK South), demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the wider team and business needs.
  • Deputise for the Senior Facilities Manager (UK South) as required.
  • Efficient running of facilities services
  • Actively engage and collaborate on facilities services and activities across the UK South offices, ensuring high standards of service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Ensure client data is protected and managed in line with GDPR principles.
  • Support business continuity and risk management processes.
  • Positive relationships built across the business and with external partners.
  • Service improvements and innovations implemented.
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
About you
  • Proven experience in facilities management, building operations or workplace management (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong soft skills, including communication, leadership, customer focus, initiative, teamwork, adaptability and problem‑solving.
  • Highly organised, with strong multitasking abilities.
