We are developing the Fundraiser/Income Generation (FIG) Lead Trustee role as part of our strategy to diversify income streams and ensure a sound financial footing so we can meet the needs of children and young people with SEND and their families.

Support from SEND and You can have a deep and lasting positive impact on the lives of children/young people with SEND and their families. The challenges faced by our service users are increasing, and it is imperative that we have a sound footing in order to deliver our existing services and develop new ones.

• has a sound understanding and experience of charity fundraising
• brings overall leadership and drive to our fundraising/income generation
• can balance FIG activities against our objects and current strategic priorities
• has a broad understanding of commissioning and contract management
• can support the Head of Service in producing funding bids and associated documents
• has strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

• provide the Board with strategic guidance for, and oversight of, FIG strategy in line with our overall objectives
• share knowledge and expertise to optimise our FIG
• support and advise on the development of our FIG capability, including consolidating current resources and diversifying into new areas
• report to the Board on the success and challenges of the FIG strategy
• ensure that our FIG activities are fully compliant, including legally and ethically
• liaise where appropriate with colleagues on areas such as marketing, publicity and communications
