Penny Brohn UK helps people with cancer to feel more physically and emotionally able to manage the impacts of their diagnosis and treatment, be more in control of their choices and have the best quality of life possible. By making our services freely available, our aim is for all people with cancer to be able to access the high-quality support they need.
Therole
We are delighted to be recruiting an In-Charge Chef on a zero‑hour basis. We are seeking an experienced individual who can work independently in our kitchen, preparing nutritious meals for clients and staff. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a calm, supportive environment and can confidently manage kitchen operations when working solo.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals in line with dietary requirements and centre standards.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Manage stock, ordering, and overall kitchen organisation.
- Work independently and take initiative during service.
- Support occasional events and catering requests.
Candidates should have proven experience as a chef in a similar setting with the ability to work independently and manage kitchen operations. They will have a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and be available to work flexibly across weekdays, evenings and weekends.
