Security Officer

LOCATION: HARBOUR SIDE ESTATE, Bristol

PAY RATE: £14.25 per hour

SHIFT PATTERN: 7 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off 48 hours per week (Permanent Nights)

As a Security Officer with ABM UK, you will be an integral part of our security operations team. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client's personnel, visitors, and property while maintaining a professional and customer-friendly demeanor.

• Conduct routine patrols and inspections of assigned areas to ensure a secure environment
• Monitor entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies with appropriate action
• Prepare detailed reports on daily activities and any incidents that occur
• Provide assistance and directions to employees and visitors as required
• Utilize surveillance equipment effectively to monitor activities
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with law enforcement when necessary

• Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred
• Possession of a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license
• Ability to demonstrate excellent observational and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Professional attitude and the ability to manage stress in emergency situations
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Physical fitness adequate to perform security duties effectively

ESSENTIAL:

SIA Guarding (SG) or Door Supervisor (DS) Licence.

A current and valid SIA CCTV Licence is desirable, or the willingness to work towards. (site requirement)
