We’re looking for an experienced and forward‑thinking Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative digital solutions. This high‑impact role will require technical expertise and leadership to drive product success, improve engineering practices, and mentor a growing team.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications in Java and Type Script
• Champion clean, well‑tested code through code reviews and best practices
• Build features and modernise systems in an AWS cloud‑native environment
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, engineering, and stakeholders to align on business goals
• Identify technical risks and blockers, and proactively work to resolve them
• Lead and contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and system reliability
• Mentor and coach engineers to foster a high‑performing, inclusive team culture
• Drive architectural decisions and influence the technical direction of projects
• Embed secure‑by‑default development and support, incident response, or performance optimisation when required

• Strong analytical mindset and problem‑solving skills
• Proficiency in at least one language (Java, Kotlin, Type Script, JavaScript, Go) and openness to learning others
• Deep understanding of OOP, functional programming, and software design patterns
• Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, complexity
• Experience designing and documenting system architecture
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests with tools like JUnit, Mockito, Jest
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git Hub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline)
• Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, IAM, Cloud Watch)
• Skilled in mentoring and adapting coaching style to diverse learning needs
• Confident communicator who can align technical solutions with business priorities
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10)
• Familiarity with performance profiling and optimisation

• Commercial experience with serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Dynamo
  
  DB, API Gateway)
• Exposure to the Serverless Framework
• Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, Sentry)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools like Terraform
• Awareness of accessibility, UX, and scalability in software design
