HGV Class 2 Driver

To operate a company vehicle travelling to local areas making skip/RORO/grab/tipper deliveries and collections as directed by the office. Be responsible to maintain a safe working environment and ensure that safe working practices are adopted by employees where practical. Work in compliance with the codes of conduct, regulations and policies of Bateman Skips and the RSK Group.

• To deliver and collect skips from customers as directed.
• To complete pre‑ and post‑safety checks on your vehicle in accordance with company policy and legal guidelines, reporting any defects promptly.
• To operate your vehicle legally in accordance with VOSA and DVLA guidelines and adhere to required efficiency levels.
• Follow all required health & safety procedures.
• Other tasks as may be required by site management to assist in the smooth, safe and compliant running of the business and operation.

• Class 2 driver’s licence.
• Driver CPC qualification card.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Physically fit due to frequent moving in and out of cabs.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Good driving record.

• Waste experience.
• Skips experience.

• Salary £37,853 per annum based on a working week of 46.25 hours.
• 20 days paid leave per year plus statutory public holidays.
• Day shift only Monday to Friday (optional daily overtime and occasional Saturday morning overtime available).
