Here at XPO, we’re looking for a full-time, permanent Transport Shift Manager to join us on our PM shift for our ETEX contract based in Portbury, Bristol. Core hours are 14 00 – 22 00 but you’ll need flexibility to cover other shifts, including nights. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective running of our transport function.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £38,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. • Supervision and overseeing of the transport function, whilst working closely with the Warehouse Shift Manager, to ensure a smooth running of the business
• Managing customer relationships, both indirectly and face to face
• Driving on-site loading efficiency
• Lead your team to meeting and exceeding operational objectives, such as service provision, productivity and fuel KPIs
• Lead, manage and engage your team of drivers within a busy gatehouse environment.

• A track record at a supervisory or management level within a complex, fast‑paced transport operation
• Excellent knowledge of driving compliance and associated regulations (a CPC would be ideal)
• A strong personality with the ability to effectively manage drivers, push for operational excellence and challenge the status quo
