We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our associate network and provide direct intervention for children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in a school setting in Broadstairs / Thanet, Kent.

You will deliver weekly, school‑based therapy sessions, working closely with school staff, families, and the wider Lycali team to ensure that provision outlined in EHCPs is met in a meaningful, functional way.

This is an on‑site role (not hybrid) offering good rates of pay, professional autonomy, and the chance to make a tangible difference to children’s daily lives in school.

• Provide direct speech, language, and communication intervention for children with EHCPs in a mainstream and / or specialist school setting.
• Plan and deliver therapy sessions, typically on a weekly basis during term time.
• Liaise with school staff, SENCOs, and families to support generalisation of targets across the school day.
• Contribute to, and where required write, reports and updates linked to EHCP outcomes and annual reviews.
• Keep concise, accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
• Work collaboratively with other SALTs and assistants within the school and Lycali network.

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist.
• Current registration with RCSLT and HCPC.
• Experience working with children and young people with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
• Experience supporting children with EHCPs and delivering intervention in educational settings.
• Confident working independently in school environments and liaising with multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Strong communication and report‑writing skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusive practice.
• Ability to work on‑site in Broadstairs / Thanet, Kent (this role is not hybrid or remote).
• Must possess professional indemnity (through RCSLT), ICO, and Enhanced DBS.

• Experience working within specialist provisions or with neurodivergent children (e.g. autism, ADHD, developmental language disorder).
• Experience training school staff to support communication needs in the classroom.

• Competitive rate of £50 per hour.
