Norfolk Southern invites you to join as a Train Conductor. You will learn to build trains, couple railcars, deliver to customers, and manage electronic documentation while ensuring safety standards across routes. No prior railroad experience is required as comprehensive training is provided.
Conductor Trainees start on the extra board, progress with seniority, and must be available 24/7 with short notice. Expect 2-3 days away from home weekly and union membership within 60 days after training
