The RoleAs a Designer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of our glazing projects supporting the design, co-ordination and technical development of the aluminium glazing systems from concept through to installation. You will ensure the efficient integration of workflows, maintain compliance with project requirements and provide support to our installation teams.
Responsibilities- Produce high quality CAD drawings in line with project and company standards.
- Co-ordinate structural designs with other disciplines (Architectural/Structural) to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Manage all relevant project documentation, internal & external project reviews and document control.
- Contribute to early design co-ordination offering practical input to develop technical solutions, both internally and externally.
- Support our installation teams with the preparation of design documentation, technical reports and structural calculations.
- Ensure that the design drawings are fully compliant with relevant building standards and system suppliers tested information.
- Significant professional experience as a curtain wall/facade designer within the construction environment.
- Proficiency in Auto Cad.
- Familiarity of Revit and BIM workflow standards would be desirable.
- Working knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and current Technical Standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Architects, Structural Engineers, Clients and wider Design Teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
