Your role as a Functional Analyst
As a Functional Analyst, you are responsible for the technical blueprint of the solution. You ensure that developers know exactly what to build to meet the business needs.
Technical Translation:
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.
Data & Logic Modelling:
Create logical data models, flowcharts, and diagrams (UML, BPMN) to visualize system behavior.
API & Integration:
Define interfaces and integration points between different systems (REST, SOAP, etc.).
Quality Assurance:
Work closely with the testing team to define test scenarios and ensure the final delivery matches the functional design.
Bridge Builder:
Act as the primary point of contact for developers and architects during the build phase to clarify complex logic.
Who are we looking for?
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience in functional analysis, preferably within an IT consultancy or a large-scale enterprise environment.
Analytical
Skills:
You can think in systems and logic. You don't just see a screen; you see the data and processes behind it.
Technical Background:
You have a solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC) and database structures (SQL).
Languages:
Excellent command of English is essential. A good professional knowledge of Dutch and/or French is required for the Brussels market.
Methodology:
Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
