The Role

This JAVA Engineer role is required for our client in the financial industry, where you will have access to cutting‑edge technologies such as Vert.x, Java, Microservices and Kafka, among others, within the Payment Domain.

Responsibilities

• Code analysis and design
• Application development and integration
• Application testing, debugging and troubleshooting
• Platform integration
• Documentation
• Leading conversations with internal and external teams

Essential skills

• Proficient with Vert.x and Spring Framework
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot
• Sound knowledge of microservices architecture
• Experience with database concepts, especially Couchbase
• Hands‑on experience with Jenkins CI‑CD for Hydra deployments
• Strong experience in the tokenisation domain and cryptogram tech stack

Desirable skills

• Experience implementing multi‑threading, data binding and dependency properties
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as BDD and system testing
• Strong debugging skills
• Proficient with Git commands
