Lead independent market and liquidity risk oversight for Manulife Bank in Toronto through analytical review, challenge, and regulatory expertise.
As Director Financial Risk, you will work within Group Risk Management alongside Bank Risk and the General Account. You will provide subject matter expertise, assess exposures, and strengthen risk management practices across market and liquidity risk.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and monitor market and liquidity risk independently
- Review policies, limits, methodologies, and risk assumptions
- Assess liquidity plans, funding plans, and stress testing scenarios
- Monitor exposures against approved risk limits
- Challenge first-line risk management practices and regulatory issues
- Advanced degree in Finance or quantitative discipline
- Minimum five years’ financial services industry experience
- FRM or CFA designation considered an asset
- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
- Effective communication, relationship-building, and influencing abilities
